Rhinolight light is a high-intensity special light of special composition which has never been used before in human medication. The light used during the intranasal Rhinolight phototherapy causes neither heat nor pain on the treated surface. Due to its composition, there is no tissue damaging effect, thus it can be applied very safely for the long-term treatment of allergy patients.
In Rhinolight, over 70% of the emitted light falls in the spectrum of visible light, less then 25% is UVA and the UVB range is below 5%. The light produced by the Rhinolight device and the relating therapeutical method are under patent protection.
Clinically justified effects of the Rhinolight phototherapy:
- Inhibits the allergen-induced histaminerelease in the skin
- Inhibits the allergen-induced histaminerelease in the mast cells
- Induces apoptosis in the T lymphocytes and eosinophil cells
- Reduces eosinophil, ECP and interleukin-5 level in the nasal secretion of the patients.
